We want to be part of the change

As the planet and society progress, so do we.

We are at a crucial stage where sustainability has become a global necessity that affects all areas of our lives. Therefore, ensuring current well-being without compromising the needs of future generations has become a fundamental principle of our identity.

In our commitment to face this challenge and lead towards a more conscious and responsible future, we are pleased to present Core by Dreamplace Hotels & Resorts, our comprehensive Sustainability Program, where sustainability and customer satisfaction are fundamental priorities that guide our actions and decisions.

Our Sustainability Program

Dreamplace is committed to the environment, people, and the local surroundings of the islands where we operate.

We have implemented a Sustainability Management System that involves the entire organization and achieves the unification of all processes, documentation, and policies.

The main goal is to raise awareness and engage all the people involved in the Dreamplace project, from our team members to our customers. We work to provide them with the necessary tools and resources so they can enjoy a more sustainable stay, thereby promoting a lower environmental impact.

We monitor the Carbon and Water Footprint of our hotels

The hotel sector can generate a significant positive impact by taking steps to reduce emissions on our planet.

At Dreamplace Hotels & Resorts, we are working on installing renewable energy sources to power some of the facilities in our hotels. At Tigotan Lovers & Friends and Gran Tacande Wellness & Relax, we have installed photovoltaic panels. At Tagoro Family & Fun and Gran Castillo Tagoro Family & Fun, we use biomass, while we have thermal solar panels at Gran Tacande Wellness & Relax and Gran Castillo Tagoro Family & Fun.

We believe that digitalisation is a fundamental part of the process. Therefore, consumption records are made through digital platforms that help us manage our hotels efficiently.

Furthermore, we recognise the importance of water as an increasingly scarce and essential resource for our community and the environment. We are committed to adopting responsible measures to reduce our consumption and promote awareness among our customers.

Circular Tourism Community Initiative

Our hotels, Gran Tacande Wellness & Relax and Tagoro Family & Fun, are actively supporting this circular economy initiative, which is part of the Ashotel and Asaga's Sustainability Strategy.

This effort aims to raise awareness about proper waste management. Plant waste will be transformed into compost to fertilize agricultural estates in southern Tenerife. Our hotels contribute by collecting waste, thereby promoting sustainable and responsible practices.

Our location shapes our identity

Our commitment goes beyond environmental impact; we also seek to positively influence our local community, of which we are a part.

We partner with a variety of associations and projects, including the ‘First Journey’ initiative, to help protect the Cory's Shearwater, a migratory bird that visits the Canary Islands for breeding. During October and November, many young Cory's Shearwaters become disoriented on their first flight due to the bright coastal lights from urban areas, which prevents them from taking off again on their own. Our hotels, Gran Tacande Wellness & Relax, Tagoro Family & Fun, and Hotel Cristina by Tigotan, are proud participants in this important initiative.

At Gran Castillo Tagoro Family & Fun, we dedicate one day each week for our entertainment team to focus on raising awareness about protecting marine life.

The best waste is no waste at all.

Therefore, we are committed to reducing the waste we generate from the start, by optimising our internal processes and promoting the recycling of all types of waste.

Another measure we support, which aids in a more circular management, is controlling food waste throughout the menu preparation process, as well as aiming to reduce waste generated at the buffet.

Treasures from our islands

At Dreamplace Hotels & Resorts, we understand that the quality of food is essential to providing an exceptional experience for our guests.

We strive to offer the best quality and variety of local products unique to our island.

In our kitchens, our chefs carefully select healthy and fresh ingredients to create balanced menus.

Raising awareness among our team

At Dreamplace Hotels & Resorts, we fully trust in the transformative power of individual and collective change.

Our team is fully committed and aware of the path we must follow together, and every action we take makes a difference. It is crucial to communicate the actions we are undertaking to ensure the best possible experience for our customers.

Partners and certifications

We are deeply committed to environmental care and excellence in our service, and this commitment is reflected in the certifications and awards we have received.

Our hotels hold a variety of prestigious certifications, such as ISO 14001 and ISO 9001, as well as recognitions from leading organizations in sustainability and quality, like Travelife Gold and Ecostars (Bronze, Silver).

Furthermore, we are proud to have been recognised by major tour operators and travel platforms such as Tripadvisor, Jet2Holidays, Booking, Hotels.com.
