How to get there: Hotel Tagoro 

You're really quite spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing which of the many gorgeous beaches to head to when you fancy a dip in the ocean. The blue flag beaches of Playa Fañabe and Playa del Duque are definitely worth a visit and offer soft sands and dreamy shorelines, as well as a full range of services including pedalos, bathrooms, sunbeds and parasol hire. For the kids, both Torviscas and Las Vistas beaches, both in Playa de las Américas, also boast inflatable icebergs and slides, which will keep them - and you - happy and entertained for hours! If you want to enjoy this excellent coastline, you can use the free bus laid on by the hotel, which will take you to the beach in only 10 minutes.

Tagoro is situated just a stone's throw from a fabulous shopping and leisure complex, complete with shops, a supermarket, a selection of eateries and a multi-screen cinema that offers some viewings in English. There is also a large flea market held in Fañabe every Thursday and Saturday. The hotel runs shuttle transfers to and from the market, although it's only a 15-minute walk if you feel like getting some gentle exercise. Fañabe is also home to a wide range of shops to explore, as well as several bars, cafés and restaurants.
